Description

Add the ability to export logs from Streams for future reference, sharing with customers, or discussing specific events during a call or support conversation.

This would make it easier to provide relevant information without relying on screenshots or manually copying individual log entries.

Export Functionality

Users should be able to export either all logs within a selected time range or only the results matching their current filters.

The export should preserve timestamps, log messages, and relevant metadata, such as the source and severity where available.

Support for CSV and plain text would be useful for analysis and sharing. A readable PDF export could also be valuable for customer-facing reports.

The export should clearly indicate the selected time range, timezone, and applied filters so the context remains understandable outside Flowguard.

Date/Time Filtering and Live View

It is unclear whether Streams currently supports filtering by a specific date and time range or switching between live and historical logs.

If these options are not already available, please consider adding:

  • A custom start and end date/time to isolate a specific incident or conversation.
  • Quick selections such as “Last 15 minutes,” “Last hour,” and “Today.”
  • A clear distinction between live streaming and a fixed historical view, with the ability to pause live updates before reviewing or exporting.

Example Use Case

A customer reports an issue between 10:00 and 10:30. We select that time window, filter for the relevant source or events, and export only those results to share with the customer or use during a follow-up discussion.
