Retrieve click statistics through the API
The GraphQL API now returns
statisticsfor links and custom domains for a chosen range. They include totals, a timeline, and breakdowns by country, referrer, browser, and operating system. Links also expose their public and private statistics URLs, and thelinkUpdateStatisticsSharingmutation changes who can see them. -
See click statistics for links and domains
Open the statistics for a link, redirect domain, or custom domain to see clicks, unique visitors, and crawler visits over the last 24 hours, 7, 30, or 90 days, or 12 months. Breakdowns show clicks by country, referrer, browser, and operating system.
-
Choose a light, dark, or system theme
Use the theme control in the dashboard to choose Light, Dark, or System. The System option follows your device's appearance setting.
-
Find Tny actions from the command menu
Open Search or jump in the top bar to find shortcuts for creating a link, opening custom domains or domain redirects, and switching teams. You can also use it to navigate to account and developer settings.
-
Limit API tokens to specific Tny permissions
Choose only the Tny permissions an access token needs. Separate scopes cover reading links and domains, managing links, and using URL utilities, so an integration can have access to the tasks it performs.
-
Inspect a redirect target without following it
Add
show_plain_redirect_target=trueto a short-link or custom-domain request to receive the redirect destination as plain text instead of being redirected. Normal password and link handling still applies; the plain-target response does not record a redirect visit.
-
Retrieve URL metadata through the API
Use the metadata endpoint with a URL to retrieve its title, description, image, favicon, and resolved URL. Integrations can use the response to prepare a link preview before creating a short link.
-
Forward query parameters through short links
Query parameters added to a short-link request now carry through to the destination. This lets you add campaign or other query values to a shared short link without changing its saved target; incoming values take precedence when the destination already uses the same parameter.
-
Find links on a specific short-link domain
Filter the links list by the domain used for each short link. Use the filter to review links on one branded domain without searching through the rest of your team's links.
-
Get AI suggestions for custom short-link slugs
When creating a link, request an AI suggestion for a custom slug based on the destination URL. Review the suggestion and adjust it before saving your link.
-
Protect short links with a password
Set a password when creating or editing a short link. Visitors must enter the password before continuing to the destination.
-
Trigger automations when a short link is created
Connected Make and IFTTT integrations can now trigger workflows when your team creates a short link. Use the event to pass new links into your existing automation.
-
Add comments to short links
Store a comment with a short link to record its purpose or context. Use comments to distinguish links when reviewing or maintaining your team's list.
-
Change short-link slugs on custom domains
Edit the slug of a short link on your custom domain to give it a more useful or memorable address. Update any places where you have shared the old address after changing it.
-
Customize how short links appear on social media
Edit a link's social card to choose the title, description, and image shown by supported social platforms. Preview the card before saving it.
-
Separate crawler visits from link clicks
Link statistics now separate crawler visits from regular clicks. You can inspect crawler activity alongside the click history without automated previews inflating the regular click count.
-
Shorten links through a YOURLS-compatible endpoint
You can now connect integrations that use the YOURLS shorturl or version actions to https://tny.app/yourls-api.php. Supply your API token as the signature parameter; the endpoint accepts GET and POST requests and supports simple and XML responses.
-
Remove more tracking parameters when expanding links
Tracking-parameter removal now recognizes more advertising and campaign parameters, including msclkid and cmpid, as well as supported fragment tracking. Enable strip_tracking_params when calling https://tny.app/api/unshorten to return a cleaner destination URL.
-
Choose shared short-link domains through the API
The GraphQL API now exposes globalLinkDomains so integrations can discover the shared domains available for shortening links. Pass a returned domain name when creating a link to choose its domain; custom slugs remain available only on your own custom domains.
-
See click trends in link and domain lists
Link and domain lists now show small charts of recent click activity on larger screens. You can spot changes in traffic alongside the total click counts without opening each item.
